Are you ready to go on a date with your best girlfriends? Then gather everyone up and take advantage of this free Women’s Health and Fitness Day event at the Fitness Connection in Charlotte! The mission is to provide information to women about how to take care of their health as well as to encourage them to take care of their health. Best of all, it’s free!
When and Where
The Women’s Health and Fitness Day event in Charlotte will be happening on Saturday, March 12th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. That’s not too early for you and your friends on a Saturday! This event is intended for women, not children, so ensure that your best buds are over 18! The event will be happening near Northlake Mall at Fitness Connection, which is located at 8626 Hankins Rd in Charlotte. Leading by Example is the organization that will be hosting the event!
What the Event Features
From vendors to speakers to fitness events, this might be a day for you to swap your jeans for some yoga pants! This day will be about educating and encouraging women to take control of their health and to have some fun. You can also become a sponsor, vendor, or volunteer at the Women’s Health and Fitness Day event if you’re interested! Speakers for the 2016 event include:
Dr. Akiba Green. Dr. Green’s clinic (Lake Norman Health and Wellness) treats a variety of conditions from autoimmune disease to chronic neurological conditions using functional medication and neurofeedback therapy.
Dr. Warren M. Overbey. Dr. Overbey specializes in obstetrics and gynecology and works at the Greater Carolinas Women’s Center, where he has been for 25 years!
Tamara Jackson. Tamara is a “former junk food addict” (seriously, who can’t relate to that?) who’s all about fitness these days. She uses a faith-based approach to help women find their potential to be healthy for life!
Tiffany Bush. Tiffany is a mental health therapist who focuses on food dependency, anxiety, and ADD/ADHD. She takes a holistic approach to mental health and has a private practice in Charlotte.

How to Register
The event is free to all women over the age of 18, although Leading by Example does ask that you register. Simply go to leadingbyexample.us to register, or if you prefer to call, 980-819-1656 is the number you’re looking for. Parking will be available on-site for your convenience.
